Questions families ask before a private trip
What it costs, and getting there
What does a private trip cost?
There is no single price, because a private trip is priced for your group, your dates and your hotel standard. For a sense of the range, our fixed group departures start at about USD 1,350 per person for five days in Baku. Send the request and we come back with a written quotation, itemised, before you pay anything.
Can we travel from Karachi, or only from Islamabad and Lahore?
From your own city. The fixed group departures fly from Islamabad and Lahore, which is the one thing that stops a Karachi family joining them. On a private trip we book the flights from where you are, and the request form asks which city you are starting from.
Do you file the visa for a private trip as well?
Yes, the same way as on a group tour. We prepare and file the application for every traveller in your party, including the invitation letter where the country needs one. You do not deal with the embassy yourself.
How many of us do there need to be?
One family is enough. A private trip has no minimum group to fill, which is the difference between it and a fixed departure. Tell us how many are coming, children included, and the quotation is priced for exactly that number.
Your group, and where we can go
Will anyone else be travelling with us?
No. That is what makes it private. The hotel, the vehicle and the guide are yours, and nothing about the days is shared with another group.
Is it cheaper if there are eight or ten of us?
Usually yes, because the cost of a vehicle and a guide is divided across more people. We do not publish a discount table. Tell us the number in the request and the quotation is priced for that number rather than adjusted afterwards.
Which countries can you arrange privately?
Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan today. Everything else we run as a fixed group departure with a tour leader from Pakistan, and the departures page shows what is open. If you want a private trip somewhere else, ask us and we will tell you honestly whether we can do it well.
We have never travelled abroad before. Is a private trip harder?
No, and in some ways it is easier, because the itinerary is built around how your family actually travels. One person handles your file from the quotation to the airport, and you can reach them on WhatsApp on 0331 1111606 or by telephone on 051-8770026.
